Psalms 95

  1. 1<pb/><t>Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;</t> <t>let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.</t>
  2. 2<t>Let us come before him with thanksgiving</t> <t>and extol him with music and song. <pb/></t>
  3. 3<t>For the LORD is the great God,</t> <t>the great King above all gods.</t>
  4. 4<t>In his hand are the depths of the earth,</t> <t>and the mountain peaks belong to him.</t>
  5. 5<t>The sea is his, for he made it,</t> <t>and his hands formed the dry land. <pb/></t>
  6. 6<t>Come, let us bow down in worship,</t> <t>let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;</t>
  7. 7<t>for he is our God</t> <t>and we are the people of his pasture,</t> <t>the flock under his care. <pb/>Today, if only you would hear his voice,</t>
  8. 8<t>“Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah,<f>[179]</f></t> <t>as you did that day at Massah<f>[180]</f> in the wilderness,</t>
  9. 9<t>where your ancestors tested me;</t> <t>they tried me, though they had seen what I did.</t>
  10. 10<t>For forty years I was angry with that generation;</t> <t>I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray,</t> <t>and they have not known my ways.’</t>
  11. 11<t>So I declared on oath in my anger,</t> <t>‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”</t>
