Psalms 85

  1. 1<pb/><e>For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm.</e> <pb/><t>You, LORD, showed favor to your land;</t> <t>you restored the fortunes of Jacob.</t>
  2. 2<t>You forgave the iniquity of your people</t> <t>and covered all their sins.<f>[160]</f></t>
  3. 3<t>You set aside all your wrath</t> <t>and turned from your fierce anger. <pb/></t>
  4. 4<t>Restore us again, God our Savior,</t> <t>and put away your displeasure toward us.</t>
  5. 5<t>Will you be angry with us forever?</t> <t>Will you prolong your anger through all generations?</t>
  6. 6<t>Will you not revive us again,</t> <t>that your people may rejoice in you?</t>
  7. 7<t>Show us your unfailing love, LORD,</t> <t>and grant us your salvation. <pb/></t>
  8. 8<t>I will listen to what God the LORD says;</t> <t>he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants—</t> <t>but let them not turn to folly.</t>
  9. 9<t>Surely his salvation is near those who fear him,</t> <t>that his glory may dwell in our land. <pb/></t>
  10. 10<t>Love and faithfulness meet together;</t> <t>righteousness and peace kiss each other.</t>
  11. 11<t>Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,</t> <t>and righteousness looks down from heaven.</t>
  12. 12<t>The LORD will indeed give what is good,</t> <t>and our land will yield its harvest.</t>
  13. 13<t>Righteousness goes before him</t> <t>and prepares the way for his steps.</t>
