- 2<t>Through the praise of children and infants</t> <t>you have established a stronghold against your enemies,</t> <t>to silence the foe and the avenger.</t>
- 3<t>When I consider your heavens,</t> <t>the work of your fingers,</t> <t>the moon and the stars,</t> <t>which you have set in place,</t>
- 4<t>what is mankind that you are mindful of them,</t> <t>human beings that you care for them?<f>[13]</f> <pb/></t>
- 5<t>You have made them<f>[14]</f> a little lower than the angels<f>[15]</f></t> <t>and crowned them<f>[16]</f> with glory and honor.</t>
- 6<t>You made them rulers over the works of your hands;</t> <t>you put everything under their<f>[17]</f> feet:</t>
- 7<t>all flocks and herds,</t> <t>and the animals of the wild,</t>
- 8<t>the birds in the sky,</t> <t>and the fish in the sea,</t> <t>all that swim the paths of the seas. <pb/></t>
