Psalms 65

  1. 1<pb/><e>For the director of music. A psalm of David. A song.</e> <pb/><t>Praise awaits<f>[117]</f> you, our God, in Zion;</t> <t>to you our vows will be fulfilled.</t>
  2. 2<t>You who answer prayer,</t> <t>to you all people will come.</t>
  3. 3<t>When we were overwhelmed by sins,</t> <t>you forgave<f>[118]</f> our transgressions.</t>
  4. 4<t>Blessed are those you choose</t> <t>and bring near to live in your courts!</t> <t>We are filled with the good things of your house,</t> <t>of your holy temple. <pb/></t>
  5. 5<t>You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,</t> <t>God our Savior,</t> <t>the hope of all the ends of the earth</t> <t>and of the farthest seas,</t>
  6. 6<t>who formed the mountains by your power,</t> <t>having armed yourself with strength,</t>
  7. 7<t>who stilled the roaring of the seas,</t> <t>the roaring of their waves,</t> <t>and the turmoil of the nations.</t>
  8. 8<t>The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;</t> <t>where morning dawns, where evening fades,</t> <t>you call forth songs of joy. <pb/></t>
  9. 9<t>You care for the land and water it;</t> <t>you enrich it abundantly.</t> <t>The streams of God are filled with water</t> <t>to provide the people with grain,</t> <t>for so you have ordained it.<f>[119]</f></t>
  10. 10<t>You drench its furrows and level its ridges;</t> <t>you soften it with showers and bless its crops.</t>
  11. 11<t>You crown the year with your bounty,</t> <t>and your carts overflow with abundance.</t>
  12. 12<t>The grasslands of the wilderness overflow;</t> <t>the hills are clothed with gladness.</t>
  13. 13<t>The meadows are covered with flocks</t> <t>and the valleys are mantled with grain;</t> <t>they shout for joy and sing.</t>
