Psalms 63
- 1<pb/><e>A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.</e> <pb/><t>You, God, are my God,</t> <t>earnestly I seek you;</t> <t>I thirst for you,</t> <t>my whole being longs for you,</t> <t>in a dry and parched land</t> <t>where there is no water. <pb/></t>
- 2<t>I have seen you in the sanctuary</t> <t>and beheld your power and your glory.</t>
- 3<t>Because your love is better than life,</t> <t>my lips will glorify you.</t>
- 4<t>I will praise you as long as I live,</t> <t>and in your name I will lift up my hands.</t>
- 5<t>I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;</t> <t>with singing lips my mouth will praise you. <pb/></t>
- 6<t>On my bed I remember you;</t> <t>I think of you through the watches of the night.</t>
- 7<t>Because you are my help,</t> <t>I sing in the shadow of your wings.</t>
- 8<t>I cling to you;</t> <t>your right hand upholds me. <pb/></t>
- 9<t>Those who want to kill me will be destroyed;</t> <t>they will go down to the depths of the earth.</t>
- 10<t>They will be given over to the sword</t> <t>and become food for jackals. <pb/></t>
- 11<t>But the king will rejoice in God;</t> <t>all who swear by God will glory in him,</t> <t>while the mouths of liars will be silenced.</t>
