- 2<t>Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am faint;</t> <t>heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony.</t>
- 3<t>My soul is in deep anguish.</t> <t>How long, LORD, how long? <pb/></t>
- 4<t>Turn, LORD, and deliver me;</t> <t>save me because of your unfailing love.</t>
- 5<t>Among the dead no one proclaims your name.</t> <t>Who praises you from the grave? <pb/></t>
- 6<t>I am worn out from my groaning. <pb/>All night long I flood my bed with weeping</t> <t>and drench my couch with tears.</t>
- 7<t>My eyes grow weak with sorrow;</t> <t>they fail because of all my foes. <pb/></t>
- 8<t>Away from me, all you who do evil,</t> <t>for the LORD has heard my weeping.</t>
- 9<t>The LORD has heard my cry for mercy;</t> <t>the LORD accepts my prayer.</t>
- 10<t>All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;</t> <t>they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.</t>
