Psalms 47

  1. 1<pb/><e>For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm.</e> <pb/><t>Clap your hands, all you nations;</t> <t>shout to God with cries of joy. <pb/></t>
  2. 2<t>For the LORD Most High is awesome,</t> <t>the great King over all the earth.</t>
  3. 3<t>He subdued nations under us,</t> <t>peoples under our feet.</t>
  4. 4<t>He chose our inheritance for us,</t> <t>the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.<f>[79]</f> <pb/></t>
  5. 5<t>God has ascended amid shouts of joy,</t> <t>the LORD amid the sounding of trumpets.</t>
  6. 6<t>Sing praises to God, sing praises;</t> <t>sing praises to our King, sing praises.</t>
  7. 7<t>For God is the King of all the earth;</t> <t>sing to him a psalm of praise. <pb/></t>
  8. 8<t>God reigns over the nations;</t> <t>God is seated on his holy throne.</t>
  9. 9<t>The nobles of the nations assemble</t> <t>as the people of the God of Abraham,</t> <t>for the kings<f>[80]</f> of the earth belong to God;</t> <t>he is greatly exalted.</t>
