Psalms 29
- 1<pb/><e>A psalm of David.</e> <pb/><t>Ascribe to the LORD, you heavenly beings,</t> <t>ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.</t>
- 2<t>Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;</t> <t>worship the LORD in the splendor of his<f>[45]</f> holiness. <pb/></t>
- 3<t>The voice of the LORD is over the waters;</t> <t>the God of glory thunders,</t> <t>the LORD thunders over the mighty waters.</t>
- 4<t>The voice of the LORD is powerful;</t> <t>the voice of the LORD is majestic.</t>
- 5<t>The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars;</t> <t>the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.</t>
- 6<t>He makes Lebanon leap like a calf,</t> <t>Sirion<f>[46]</f> like a young wild ox.</t>
- 7<t>The voice of the LORD strikes</t> <t>with flashes of lightning.</t>
- 8<t>The voice of the LORD shakes the desert;</t> <t>the LORD shakes the Desert of Kadesh.</t>
- 9<t>The voice of the LORD twists the oaks<f>[47]</f></t> <t>and strips the forests bare.</t> <t>And in his temple all cry, “Glory!” <pb/></t>
- 10<t>The LORD sits enthroned over the flood;</t> <t>the LORD is enthroned as King forever.</t>
- 11<t>The LORD gives strength to his people;</t> <t>the LORD blesses his people with peace.</t>
