Psalms 11

  1. 1<pb/><e>For the director of music. Of David.</e> <pb/><t>In the LORD I take refuge.</t> <t>How then can you say to me:</t> <t>“Flee like a bird to your mountain.</t>
  2. 2<t>For look, the wicked bend their bows;</t> <t>they set their arrows against the strings</t> <t>to shoot from the shadows</t> <t>at the upright in heart.</t>
  3. 3<t>When the foundations are being destroyed,</t> <t>what can the righteous do?” <pb/></t>
  4. 4<t>The LORD is in his holy temple;</t> <t>the LORD is on his heavenly throne.</t> <t>He observes everyone on earth;</t> <t>his eyes examine them.</t>
  5. 5<t>The LORD examines the righteous,</t> <t>but the wicked, those who love violence,</t> <t>he hates with a passion.</t>
  6. 6<t>On the wicked he will rain</t> <t>fiery coals and burning sulfur;</t> <t>a scorching wind will be their lot. <pb/></t>
  7. 7<t>For the LORD is righteous,</t> <t>he loves justice;</t> <t>the upright will see his face.</t>
