Psalms 16
- 1<pb/><e>A miktam</e><f>[23]</f> of David. <pb/><t>Keep me safe, my God,</t> <t>for in you I take refuge. <pb/></t>
- 2<t>I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord;</t> <t>apart from you I have no good thing.”</t>
- 3<t>I say of the holy people who are in the land,</t> <t>“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”</t>
- 4<t>Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.</t> <t>I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods</t> <t>or take up their names on my lips. <pb/></t>
- 5<t>LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup;</t> <t>you make my lot secure.</t>
- 6<t>The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;</t> <t>surely I have a delightful inheritance.</t>
- 7<t>I will praise the LORD, who counsels me;</t> <t>even at night my heart instructs me.</t>
- 8<t>I keep my eyes always on the LORD.</t> <t>With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. <pb/></t>
- 9<t>Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;</t> <t>my body also will rest secure,</t>
- 10<t>because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,</t> <t>nor will you let your faithful<f>[24]</f> one see decay.</t>
- 11<t>You make known to me the path of life;</t> <t>you will fill me with joy in your presence,</t> <t>with eternal pleasures at your right hand.</t>
