Psalms 148

  1. 1<pb/><t>Praise the LORD.<f>[231]</f> <pb/>Praise the LORD from the heavens;</t> <t>praise him in the heights above.</t>
  2. 2<t>Praise him, all his angels;</t> <t>praise him, all his heavenly hosts.</t>
  3. 3<t>Praise him, sun and moon;</t> <t>praise him, all you shining stars.</t>
  4. 4<t>Praise him, you highest heavens</t> <t>and you waters above the skies. <pb/></t>
  5. 5<t>Let them praise the name of the LORD,</t> <t>for at his command they were created,</t>
  6. 6<t>and he established them for ever and ever—</t> <t>he issued a decree that will never pass away. <pb/></t>
  7. 7<t>Praise the LORD from the earth,</t> <t>you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,</t>
  8. 8<t>lightning and hail, snow and clouds,</t> <t>stormy winds that do his bidding,</t>
  9. 9<t>you mountains and all hills,</t> <t>fruit trees and all cedars,</t>
  10. 10<t>wild animals and all cattle,</t> <t>small creatures and flying birds,</t>
  11. 11<t>kings of the earth and all nations,</t> <t>you princes and all rulers on earth,</t>
  12. 12<t>young men and women,</t> <t>old men and children. <pb/></t>
  13. 13<t>Let them praise the name of the LORD,</t> <t>for his name alone is exalted;</t> <t>his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.</t>
  14. 14<t>And he has raised up for his people a horn,<f>[232]</f></t> <t>the praise of all his faithful servants,</t> <t>of Israel, the people close to his heart. <pb/>Praise the LORD.</t>
