Psalms 145

  1. 1<pb/><e>A psalm of praise. Of David.</e> <pb/><t>I will exalt you, my God the King;</t> <t>I will praise your name for ever and ever.</t>
  2. 2<t>Every day I will praise you</t> <t>and extol your name for ever and ever. <pb/></t>
  3. 3<t>Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;</t> <t>his greatness no one can fathom.</t>
  4. 4<t>One generation commends your works to another;</t> <t>they tell of your mighty acts.</t>
  5. 5<t>They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—</t> <t>and I will meditate on your wonderful works.<f>[226]</f></t>
  6. 6<t>They tell of the power of your awesome works—</t> <t>and I will proclaim your great deeds.</t>
  7. 7<t>They celebrate your abundant goodness</t> <t>and joyfully sing of your righteousness. <pb/></t>
  8. 8<t>The LORD is gracious and compassionate,</t> <t>slow to anger and rich in love. <pb/></t>
  9. 9<t>The LORD is good to all;</t> <t>he has compassion on all he has made.</t>
  10. 10<t>All your works praise you, LORD;</t> <t>your faithful people extol you.</t>
  11. 11<t>They tell of the glory of your kingdom</t> <t>and speak of your might,</t>
  12. 12<t>so that all people may know of your mighty acts</t> <t>and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.</t>
  13. 13<t>Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,</t> <t>and your dominion endures through all generations. <pb/>The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises</t> <t>and faithful in all he does.<f>[227]</f></t>
  14. 14<t>The LORD upholds all who fall</t> <t>and lifts up all who are bowed down.</t>
  15. 15<t>The eyes of all look to you,</t> <t>and you give them their food at the proper time.</t>
  16. 16<t>You open your hand</t> <t>and satisfy the desires of every living thing. <pb/></t>
  17. 17<t>The LORD is righteous in all his ways</t> <t>and faithful in all he does.</t>
  18. 18<t>The LORD is near to all who call on him,</t> <t>to all who call on him in truth.</t>
  19. 19<t>He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;</t> <t>he hears their cry and saves them.</t>
  20. 20<t>The LORD watches over all who love him,</t> <t>but all the wicked he will destroy. <pb/></t>
  21. 21<t>My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD.</t> <t>Let every creature praise his holy name</t> <t>for ever and ever.</t>
