  30. 30<t>I have chosen the way of faithfulness;</t> <t>I have set my heart on your laws.</t>
  31. 31<t>I hold fast to your statutes, LORD;</t> <t>do not let me be put to shame.</t>
  32. 32<t>I run in the path of your commands,</t> <t>for you have broadened my understanding.</t>
  33. 33<t>Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees,</t> <t>that I may follow it to the end.<f>[209]</f></t>
  34. 34<t>Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law</t> <t>and obey it with all my heart.</t>
  35. 35<t>Direct me in the path of your commands,</t> <t>for there I find delight.</t>

  43. 43<t>Never take your word of truth from my mouth,</t> <t>for I have put my hope in your laws.</t>
  44. 44<t>I will always obey your law,</t> <t>for ever and ever.</t>
  45. 45<t>I will walk about in freedom,</t> <t>for I have sought out your precepts.</t>
  46. 46<t>I will speak of your statutes before kings</t> <t>and will not be put to shame,</t>
  47. 47<t>for I delight in your commands</t> <t>because I love them.</t>
  48. 48<t>I reach out for your commands, which I love,</t> <t>that I may meditate on your decrees.</t>
  49. 49<t>Remember your word to your servant,</t> <t>for you have given me hope.</t>
  50. 50<t>My comfort in my suffering is this:</t> <t>Your promise preserves my life.</t>
  51. 51<t>The arrogant mock me unmercifully,</t> <t>but I do not turn from your law.</t>
  52. 52<t>I remember, LORD, your ancient laws,</t> <t>and I find comfort in them.</t>
  53. 53<t>Indignation grips me because of the wicked,</t> <t>who have forsaken your law.</t>
  54. 54<t>Your decrees are the theme of my song</t> <t>wherever I lodge.</t>
  55. 55<t>In the night, LORD, I remember your name,</t> <t>that I may keep your law.</t>
  56. 56<t>This has been my practice:</t> <t>I obey your precepts.</t>
  57. 57<t>You are my portion, LORD;</t> <t>I have promised to obey your words.</t>
  58. 58<t>I have sought your face with all my heart;</t> <t>be gracious to me according to your promise.</t>
  59. 59<t>I have considered my ways</t> <t>and have turned my steps to your statutes.</t>
  60. 60<t>I will hasten and not delay</t> <t>to obey your commands.</t>
  61. 61<t>Though the wicked bind me with ropes,</t> <t>I will not forget your law.</t>
  62. 62<t>At midnight I rise to give you thanks</t> <t>for your righteous laws.</t>
  63. 63<t>I am a friend to all who fear you,</t> <t>to all who follow your precepts.</t>
  64. 64<t>The earth is filled with your love, LORD;</t> <t>teach me your decrees.</t>
  65. 65<t>Do good to your servant</t> <t>according to your word, LORD.</t>
  66. 66<t>Teach me knowledge and good judgment,</t> <t>for I trust your commands.</t>
  67. 67<t>Before I was afflicted I went astray,</t> <t>but now I obey your word.</t>
  68. 68<t>You are good, and what you do is good;</t> <t>teach me your decrees.</t>
  69. 69<t>Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies,</t> <t>I keep your precepts with all my heart.</t>
  70. 70<t>Their hearts are callous and unfeeling,</t> <t>but I delight in your law.</t>
  71. 71<t>It was good for me to be afflicted</t> <t>so that I might learn your decrees.</t>
  72. 72<t>The law from your mouth is more precious to me</t> <t>than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.</t>
  73. 73<t>Your hands made me and formed me;</t> <t>give me understanding to learn your commands.</t>
  74. 74<t>May those who fear you rejoice when they see me,</t> <t>for I have put my hope in your word.</t>
  75. 75<t>I know, LORD, that your laws are righteous,</t> <t>and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.</t>
  76. 76<t>May your unfailing love be my comfort,</t> <t>according to your promise to your servant.</t>
  77. 77<t>Let your compassion come to me that I may live,</t> <t>for your law is my delight.</t>
  78. 78<t>May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause;</t> <t>but I will meditate on your precepts.</t>
  79. 79<t>May those who fear you turn to me,</t> <t>those who understand your statutes.</t>
  80. 80<t>May I wholeheartedly follow your decrees,</t> <t>that I may not be put to shame.</t>
  81. 81<t>My soul faints with longing for your salvation,</t> <t>but I have put my hope in your word.</t>
  82. 82<t>My eyes fail, looking for your promise;</t> <t>I say, “When will you comfort me?”</t>
  83. 83<t>Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke,</t> <t>I do not forget your decrees.</t>
  84. 84<t>How long must your servant wait?</t> <t>When will you punish my persecutors?</t>
  85. 85<t>The arrogant dig pits to trap me,</t> <t>contrary to your law.</t>
  86. 86<t>All your commands are trustworthy;</t> <t>help me, for I am being persecuted without cause.</t>
  87. 87<t>They almost wiped me from the earth,</t> <t>but I have not forsaken your precepts.</t>
  88. 88<t>In your unfailing love preserve my life,</t> <t>that I may obey the statutes of your mouth.</t>
  89. 89<t>Your word, LORD, is eternal;</t> <t>it stands firm in the heavens.</t>
  90. 90<t>Your faithfulness continues through all generations;</t> <t>you established the earth, and it endures.</t>
  91. 91<t>Your laws endure to this day,</t> <t>for all things serve you.</t>
  92. 92<t>If your law had not been my delight,</t> <t>I would have perished in my affliction.</t>
  93. 93<t>I will never forget your precepts,</t> <t>for by them you have preserved my life.</t>
  94. 94<t>Save me, for I am yours;</t> <t>I have sought out your precepts.</t>
  95. 95<t>The wicked are waiting to destroy me,</t> <t>but I will ponder your statutes.</t>
  96. 96<t>To all perfection I see a limit,</t> <t>but your commands are boundless.</t>
  97. 97<t>Oh, how I love your law!</t> <t>I meditate on it all day long.</t>
  98. 98<t>Your commands are always with me</t> <t>and make me wiser than my enemies.</t>
  99. 99<t>I have more insight than all my teachers,</t> <t>for I meditate on your statutes.</t>
  100. 100<t>I have more understanding than the elders,</t> <t>for I obey your precepts.</t>
  101. 101<t>I have kept my feet from every evil path</t> <t>so that I might obey your word.</t>
  102. 102<t>I have not departed from your laws,</t> <t>for you yourself have taught me.</t>
  103. 103<t>How sweet are your words to my taste,</t> <t>sweeter than honey to my mouth!</t>
  104. 104<t>I gain understanding from your precepts;</t> <t>therefore I hate every wrong path.</t>
  105. 105<t>Your word is a lamp for my feet,</t> <t>a light on my path.</t>
  106. 106<t>I have taken an oath and confirmed it,</t> <t>that I will follow your righteous laws.</t>
  107. 107<t>I have suffered much;</t> <t>preserve my life, LORD, according to your word.</t>
  108. 108<t>Accept, LORD, the willing praise of my mouth,</t> <t>and teach me your laws.</t>
  109. 109<t>Though I constantly take my life in my hands,</t> <t>I will not forget your law.</t>
  110. 110<t>The wicked have set a snare for me,</t> <t>but I have not strayed from your precepts.</t>
  111. 111<t>Your statutes are my heritage forever;</t> <t>they are the joy of my heart.</t>
  112. 112<t>My heart is set on keeping your decrees</t> <t>to the very end.<f>[211]</f></t>
  113. 113<t>I hate double-minded people,</t> <t>but I love your law.</t>
  114. 114<t>You are my refuge and my shield;</t> <t>I have put my hope in your word.</t>
  115. 115<t>Away from me, you evildoers,</t> <t>that I may keep the commands of my God!</t>
  116. 116<t>Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live;</t> <t>do not let my hopes be dashed.</t>
  117. 117<t>Uphold me, and I will be delivered;</t> <t>I will always have regard for your decrees.</t>
  118. 118<t>You reject all who stray from your decrees,</t> <t>for their delusions come to nothing.</t>
  119. 119<t>All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross;</t> <t>therefore I love your statutes.</t>
  120. 120<t>My flesh trembles in fear of you;</t> <t>I stand in awe of your laws.</t>
  121. 121<t>I have done what is righteous and just;</t> <t>do not leave me to my oppressors.</t>
  122. 122<t>Ensure your servant’s well-being;</t> <t>do not let the arrogant oppress me.</t>
  123. 123<t>My eyes fail, looking for your salvation,</t> <t>looking for your righteous promise.</t>
  124. 124<t>Deal with your servant according to your love</t> <t>and teach me your decrees.</t>
  125. 125<t>I am your servant; give me discernment</t> <t>that I may understand your statutes.</t>
  126. 126<t>It is time for you to act, LORD;</t> <t>your law is being broken.</t>
  127. 127<t>Because I love your commands</t> <t>more than gold, more than pure gold,</t>
  128. 128<t>and because I consider all your precepts right,</t> <t>I hate every wrong path.</t>
  129. 129<t>Your statutes are wonderful;</t> <t>therefore I obey them.</t>
  130. 130<t>The unfolding of your words gives light;</t> <t>it gives understanding to the simple.</t>
  131. 131<t>I open my mouth and pant,</t> <t>longing for your commands.</t>
  132. 132<t>Turn to me and have mercy on me,</t> <t>as you always do to those who love your name.</t>
  133. 133<t>Direct my footsteps according to your word;</t> <t>let no sin rule over me.</t>
  134. 134<t>Redeem me from human oppression,</t> <t>that I may obey your precepts.</t>
  135. 135<t>Make your face shine on your servant</t> <t>and teach me your decrees.</t>
  136. 136<t>Streams of tears flow from my eyes,</t> <t>for your law is not obeyed.</t>
  137. 137<t>You are righteous, LORD,</t> <t>and your laws are right.</t>
  138. 138<t>The statutes you have laid down are righteous;</t> <t>they are fully trustworthy.</t>
  139. 139<t>My zeal wears me out,</t> <t>for my enemies ignore your words.</t>
  140. 140<t>Your promises have been thoroughly tested,</t> <t>and your servant loves them.</t>
  141. 141<t>Though I am lowly and despised,</t> <t>I do not forget your precepts.</t>
  142. 142<t>Your righteousness is everlasting</t> <t>and your law is true.</t>
  143. 143<t>Trouble and distress have come upon me,</t> <t>but your commands give me delight.</t>
  144. 144<t>Your statutes are always righteous;</t> <t>give me understanding that I may live.</t>
  145. 145<t>I call with all my heart; answer me, LORD,</t> <t>and I will obey your decrees.</t>
  146. 146<t>I call out to you; save me</t> <t>and I will keep your statutes.</t>
  147. 147<t>I rise before dawn and cry for help;</t> <t>I have put my hope in your word.</t>
  148. 148<t>My eyes stay open through the watches of the night,</t> <t>that I may meditate on your promises.</t>
  149. 149<t>Hear my voice in accordance with your love;</t> <t>preserve my life, LORD, according to your laws.</t>
  150. 150<t>Those who devise wicked schemes are near,</t> <t>but they are far from your law.</t>
  151. 151<t>Yet you are near, LORD,</t> <t>and all your commands are true.</t>
  152. 152<t>Long ago I learned from your statutes</t> <t>that you established them to last forever.</t>
  153. 153<t>Look on my suffering and deliver me,</t> <t>for I have not forgotten your law.</t>
  154. 154<t>Defend my cause and redeem me;</t> <t>preserve my life according to your promise.</t>
  155. 155<t>Salvation is far from the wicked,</t> <t>for they do not seek out your decrees.</t>
  156. 156<t>Your compassion, LORD, is great;</t> <t>preserve my life according to your laws.</t>
  157. 157<t>Many are the foes who persecute me,</t> <t>but I have not turned from your statutes.</t>
  158. 158<t>I look on the faithless with loathing,</t> <t>for they do not obey your word.</t>
  159. 159<t>See how I love your precepts;</t> <t>preserve my life, LORD, in accordance with your love.</t>
  160. 160<t>All your words are true;</t> <t>all your righteous laws are eternal.</t>
  161. 161<t>Rulers persecute me without cause,</t> <t>but my heart trembles at your word.</t>
  162. 162<t>I rejoice in your promise</t> <t>like one who finds great spoil.</t>
  163. 163<t>I hate and detest falsehood</t> <t>but I love your law.</t>
  164. 164<t>Seven times a day I praise you</t> <t>for your righteous laws.</t>
  165. 165<t>Great peace have those who love your law,</t> <t>and nothing can make them stumble.</t>

  174. 174<t>I long for your salvation, LORD,</t> <t>and your law gives me delight.</t>
  175. 175<t>Let me live that I may praise you,</t> <t>and may your laws sustain me.</t>
  176. 176<t>I have strayed like a lost sheep.</t> <t>Seek your servant,</t> <t>for I have not forgotten your commands.</t>
