Psalms 115

  1. 1<pb/><t>Not to us, LORD, not to us</t> <t>but to your name be the glory,</t> <t>because of your love and faithfulness. <pb/></t>
  2. 2<t>Why do the nations say,</t> <t>“Where is their God?”</t>
  3. 3<t>Our God is in heaven;</t> <t>he does whatever pleases him.</t>
  4. 4<t>But their idols are silver and gold,</t> <t>made by human hands.</t>
  5. 5<t>They have mouths, but cannot speak,</t> <t>eyes, but cannot see.</t>
  6. 6<t>They have ears, but cannot hear,</t> <t>noses, but cannot smell.</t>
  7. 7<t>They have hands, but cannot feel,</t> <t>feet, but cannot walk,</t> <t>nor can they utter a sound with their throats.</t>
  8. 8<t>Those who make them will be like them,</t> <t>and so will all who trust in them. <pb/></t>
  9. 9<t>All you Israelites, trust in the LORD—</t> <t>he is their help and shield.</t>
  10. 10<t>House of Aaron, trust in the LORD—</t> <t>he is their help and shield.</t>
  11. 11<t>You who fear him, trust in the LORD—</t> <t>he is their help and shield. <pb/></t>
  12. 12<t>The LORD remembers us and will bless us:</t> <t>He will bless his people Israel,</t> <t>he will bless the house of Aaron,</t>
  13. 13<t>he will bless those who fear the LORD—</t> <t>small and great alike. <pb/></t>
  14. 14<t>May the LORD cause you to flourish,</t> <t>both you and your children.</t>
  15. 15<t>May you be blessed by the LORD,</t> <t>the Maker of heaven and earth. <pb/></t>
  16. 16<t>The highest heavens belong to the LORD,</t> <t>but the earth he has given to mankind.</t>
  17. 17<t>It is not the dead who praise the LORD,</t> <t>those who go down to the place of silence;</t>
  18. 18<t>it is we who extol the LORD,</t> <t>both now and forevermore. <pb/>Praise the LORD.<f>[203]</f></t>
