Psalms 1

  1. 1<pb/><t>Blessed is the one</t> <t>who does not walk in step with the wicked</t> <t>or stand in the way that sinners take</t> <t>or sit in the company of mockers,</t>
  2. 2<t>but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,</t> <t>and who meditates on his law day and night.</t>
  3. 3<t>That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,</t> <t>which yields its fruit in season</t> <t>and whose leaf does not wither—</t> <t>whatever they do prospers. <pb/></t>
  4. 4<t>Not so the wicked!</t> <t>They are like chaff</t> <t>that the wind blows away.</t>
  5. 5<t>Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,</t> <t>nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. <pb/></t>
  6. 6<t>For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,</t> <t>but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.</t>
