- 6<t>Herds of camels will cover your land,</t> <t>young camels of Midian and Ephah.</t> <t>And all from Sheba will come,</t> <t>bearing gold and incense</t> <t>and proclaiming the praise of the LORD.</t>
- 7<t>All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you,</t> <t>the rams of Nebaioth will serve you;</t> <t>they will be accepted as offerings on my altar,</t> <t>and I will adorn my glorious temple. <pb/></t>
- 8<t>“Who are these that fly along like clouds,</t> <t>like doves to their nests?</t>
- 9<t>Surely the islands look to me;</t> <t>in the lead are the ships of Tarshish,<f>[114]</f></t> <t>bringing your children from afar,</t> <t>with their silver and gold,</t> <t>to the honor of the LORD your God,</t> <t>the Holy One of Israel,</t> <t>for he has endowed you with splendor. <pb/></t>
- 10<t>“Foreigners will rebuild your walls,</t> <t>and their kings will serve you.</t> <t>Though in anger I struck you,</t> <t>in favor I will show you compassion.</t>
- 11<t>Your gates will always stand open,</t> <t>they will never be shut, day or night,</t> <t>so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations—</t> <t>their kings led in triumphal procession.</t>
- 12<t>For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish;</t> <t>it will be utterly ruined. <pb/></t>
- 13<t>“The glory of Lebanon will come to you,</t> <t>the juniper, the fir and the cypress together,</t> <t>to adorn my sanctuary;</t> <t>and I will glorify the place for my feet.</t>
- 14<t>The children of your oppressors will come bowing before you;</t> <t>all who despise you will bow down at your feet</t> <t>and will call you the City of the LORD,</t> <t>Zion of the Holy One of Israel. <pb/></t>
- 15<t>“Although you have been forsaken and hated,</t> <t>with no one traveling through,</t> <t>I will make you the everlasting pride</t> <t>and the joy of all generations.</t>
- 16<t>You will drink the milk of nations</t> <t>and be nursed at royal breasts.</t> <t>Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior,</t> <t>your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.</t>
- 17<t>Instead of bronze I will bring you gold,</t> <t>and silver in place of iron.</t> <t>Instead of wood I will bring you bronze,</t> <t>and iron in place of stones.</t> <t>I will make peace your governor</t> <t>and well-being your ruler.</t>
- 18<t>No longer will violence be heard in your land,</t> <t>nor ruin or destruction within your borders,</t> <t>but you will call your walls Salvation</t> <t>and your gates Praise.</t>
- 19<t>The sun will no more be your light by day,</t> <t>nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,</t> <t>for the LORD will be your everlasting light,</t> <t>and your God will be your glory.</t>
- 20<t>Your sun will never set again,</t> <t>and your moon will wane no more;</t> <t>the LORD will be your everlasting light,</t> <t>and your days of sorrow will end.</t>
- 21<t>Then all your people will be righteous</t> <t>and they will possess the land forever.</t> <t>They are the shoot I have planted,</t> <t>the work of my hands,</t> <t>for the display of my splendor.</t>
- 22<t>The least of you will become a thousand,</t> <t>the smallest a mighty nation.</t> <t>I am the LORD;</t> <t>in its time I will do this swiftly.”</t>
